On Sunday, theAvengersstar celebrated his 53rd birthday alongside his 10-year-old daughter. He marked the occasion withInstagramphotos shared the next day.
TheMarvelactor was photographed beaming in his daughter’s direction as she presented him with his birthday cake. In the snapshot, Renner looks at his daughter as his hands hover below the cake plate.

TheHurt Lockeractor welcomed Ava with exSonni Pachecoin March 2013. He was 42 at the time and has shared how becoming a dad later on in life is“the best thing” he’s ever done.

“She makes me the best version of me,” he said. “She inspires me to be better.”
Shortly after the accident, Renner shared a touching post for Ava’s 10th birthday in March. “I stand up for you, and I am stronger than before because of you,” wrote the actor. “I am your father, I am your protector, and I am only yours. I love you.”

The actor’s doctor, Dr. Christopher Vincent, added thatAva was “one of [Renner’s] strongest motivators”to get up and moving again. “You really reflect on life when something like this happens. It’s like, ‘Okay, what’s important?’” Vincent told PEOPLE exclusively.
On the one-year mark of the accident, Renner shared anInstagram postin whichhe called Ava “reason number one"for his recovery. The two are seen embracing one another as they ring in 2024 together.
“As I got better, she got better, less afraid,” he wrote in the caption. “There is simply no better motivator to recover than to heal your family and friends.”
