reverence the Walking Dead returned Sunday as what felt like a very dissimilar show . It felt more like an episode of Lost , really , focusing on one single character — in this lawsuit Nick — and scud back to reveal a significant piece of music of his past tense .
Nick ’s father , and belike Alicia ’s too , was emotionally missing in his later age and died in a car accident before Nick could reconcile with him , while Nick was in rehab . The pain of the loss is one of the primary reasons he recidivate after leave rehab and the flashback even made it to the first scene of the entire series , inside the Christian church , link everything together .
In the present tense , we look Nick trying to survive on his own , heading towards Tijuana , a place he hop-skip he ’ll find “ dead that are n’t ogre . ” Things started with a random fellowship we did n’t know , he was beat and pluck , then almost shot to expiry , bitten by a few pawl and in conclusion made it to Tijuana where a new character diagnose Luciana ( Danay Garcia ) introduce him to a doctor who saved his life .
Nick told the MD ( make for by Paul Calderon ) he would n’t have beware if he break in the wild , which is odd considering where we left Nick at the mid - season finale . He specifically left his family wanting to walk his own route , off from their questionable morals . Why would he be ok pass ? It was n’t really a lineament trait I believe of him , peculiarly after an episode where he continually struggle to survive . Was he lying ? Looking for sympathy ? In the death , all we really need to get it on in the enceinte tale is he made it to Tijuana and it looks like thing will be all right . They obviously wo n’t , but it look like that .
Overall , it was n’t the strongest return for the serial , especially for anyone who provide the midseason finale with burning questions — no Madison , no Travis , this was all about Nick . Either fashion , I did enjoy that dread the walk Dead tried something different and they did it by spending more time with , by far , the most interesting case on the show .
