Demi Lovatobrought their signature edgy style to the VMAs.
Lovato took their rocker aesthetic to the next level on the VMAs pink carpet in a bold, all-black look. The singer layered a mesh and leather mini dress under the focal point of the outfit: a floor-length leather jacket complete with pointed, oversized shoulders.
For jewels, Lovato went all out, wearing Ofira Jewels 18k gold, black and white diamond pyramid earrings, Ofira Jewels 18k white gold, black, white and champagne diamond cluster bands, Ofira Jewels 18k white gold, white diamond cluster band, a Lorraine Schwartz lighting bolt ring and a Lorraine Schwartz black diamond wrap around ring.
The coat’s exaggerated silhouette is slightly reminiscent of the cover art look for her upcoming album,Revamped.
The 14-time VMA nominee accessorized the edgy ensemble with silver diamond drop earrings, chunky rings, a bold, smokey eyeshadow look and a nude glossy lip, and they wore their hair back in a slick style, bringing just one strand to the front.

Lovato is set to perform later in the ceremony, her first time singing at the VMAs in six years.
The “La La Land” singer is also up for two Moon Person awards this year. In best pop, the“Confident”rocker received a nod for their song"Swine,”and will face off with Rodrigo,Dua Lipa,Ed Sheeran,Miley Cyrus,PinkandTaylor Swift.
TheHoly Fvckmusician is also up for the video for good award for “Swine,” which she released on the one-year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s decision to end the constitutional right to abortion. Profits from the pro-choice anthem are donated to the Reproductive Justice Fund at the Demi Lovato Foundation.
The category, originally called “best video with a message,” earned Lovato their only VMA for “Skyscraper” in 2014.
This year, the “Heart Attack” singer has some steep competition:Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You (Orchestral),”Bad Bunny’s “El Apagón - Aquí Vive Gente,”Dove Cameron’s “Breakfast,”Imagine Dragons’ “Crushed” andMaluma’s “La Reina.”
