In their ownstatement , the Gen V producers were blindsided to hear of Perdomo ’s passage . “ For those of us who hump him and worked with him , Chance was always charming and smiling , ” they wrote . “ [ He was ] an enthusiastic power of nature , an unbelievably talented performing artist , and more than anything else , just a very kind , adorable person . Even writing about him in the past tense does n’t make sense . We are so no-good for Chance ’s family , and we are grieving the departure of our friend and confrere . Hug your screw ones tonight . ”
PerDeadline , Amazon planned on starting output on Gen V time of year two in mid - April . It ’s now been pause indefinitely , both so the cast and crew can aggrieve , and so the writer can determine whether to pass the season and write off Andre or remodel him .
