Romeo Alexander is married!
The Bachelorettealum, 34, tied the knot with Caroline Sullivan at a Manhattan courthouse on March 22.
“After the ceremony, we took a walk through Little Italy and had a few slices of pizza,” Alexander tells PEOPLE. “Later that evening, we had a small and intimate wedding dinner at Per Se, a French restaurant overlooking Central Park. We wanted to have a moment to celebrate privately with just our immediate family before we have a bigger wedding next year. It was the perfect weekend for both of us!”

The couple also shared the happy news viaa joint Instagram poston Monday, featuring a photo of their Manhattan nuptials.
In the image, the pair posed together in front of a NYC court building, with Sullivan wearing a white fit-and-flare minidress and Alexander sporting a classic black suit. The bride lifted a colorful bouquet of flowers in the air as she held her new husband’s hand. The newlyweds both had big smiles on their faces as they stood amid a sprinkling of red rose petals on the ground.
“Mr. and Mrs. Alexander 💐 🎊 🤍,” they captioned the wedding post.

Alexander and Sullivan — who first met at Dumbo House in Brooklyn in February 2022 — announced their engagement onInstagramin December. They later shared behind-the-scenes details of the proposal with PEOPLE, revealing that Alexander popped the question in New York’s Central Park on Dec. 27.

“I was completely shocked!” Sullivan recalled of the surprise proposal. “Romeo told me we were going to dinner at a nice restaurant near Central park, and that I had to wear something fancy. My sister was in town and leaving that day, so he suggested we show her around the park before dinner.”
She continued: “When we got to the location, this amazing photographer (Sarah Heilbronner) was pretending to do a photo shoot and generously asked us if we wanted a picture! That is when he dropped down on one knee. It was perfect.”
Alexander told PEOPLE that ahead of the proposal, he took Sullivan into some stores along Fifth Avenue to “get a sense of her style and ring size” and later bought her engagement ring from a friend in the diamond district.
“I’ve always loved emerald-cut rings,” Sullivan said. “Romeo knew that because my sister was secretly helping him. One night we made a spontaneous stop at Tiffany’s just to be festive, and that’s how he got my ring size.”

Alexander appeared in season 18 ofThe Bachelorette, which featured Michelle Young’s search for love. In 2022, he returned to the franchise onBachelor in Paradise.
