Not certain why we did n’t see this originally , but everyone ’s favorite wireless trade name , Cingular , is go away to go bye - bye . AT&T is presently purchasing Cingular ’s parent company , BellSouth , and will dispatch the Cingular name , supplant it with the euphonious AT&T Wireless . go , too , will be the dancing orange comrade we all know and love .
Branding and work up the Cingular personal credit line cost BellSouth $ 4 billion . Oh well .
