answer “ I need to hide a body ” used to be one of Siri ’s little jokes . She used to give suggestions . She does n’t anymore . Why ? We ca n’t be sure , but it miiight have something to do with anaccused liquidator who apparently asked the question in sincere .
Florida man Pedro Bravo is accused of polish off his friend Christian Aguilar and burying the body in nearby Wood — not one of Siri ’s suggestions — in September of 2012 . And now immortalize from his phone , which were only just present to the jury at his trial , show he note to Siri “ I necessitate to obscure my roommate , ” to which she gave her cheeky but also sorta kinda pretty utilitarian “ joke ” answer , seen above .
Perhaps even more damningly , the sound ’s location data also blows up Bravo ’s alibi , while other data signal the flashlight was turned on 9 time and used for over 48 minute on the dark in interrogative sentence . It does n’t take a virtual assistant to figure out what that might be all about . [ The Independent ]

Update : faux alarm!More details have come out — include a clarification by the investigator involved — and the testimonial did not admit a program line that Bravo himself ask Siri . The grounds in question was in reality a screenshot of Siri ’s response the statement that was stored in the Facebook app cache , not an actual query made directly to Siri .
It ’s possible Bravo used it as a quotation list of places to start , but every bit likely it was just some joke that found its way into his feed at some point . Consider a small part of your trust in humanity restore .
